Play and Learn

I have been looking for things to put my 3 year old in for this fall to help strengthen his social skills and get him ready for pre-k. And this week we had the luck of going to Play and Learn through Little Red Wagon at Forest Hills Library. It was awesome! For our first visit we got a cute beige tote bag. There was a bunch of kiddos there and plenty to do. And just in case your wondering Play and Learn is Free! Yes Free! Here are the activities we did this week:

  • The Shaker song along with lyrics card and shaker
  • Making a "rocket" out of soft colorful blocks
  • Painting with brushes made out of corn husks
  • Building with magnetic shapes

  • We made art with leaf cutouts
  • Music from common objects
  • Rain gutter leaves activity
  • Play-dough fun with recipe card to make at home

I know it sounds like alot but you can pick and choose which activities to do so if you love one spend most of your time there. But its fun to try a bit of each.We had a great time at Play and Learn and met new people. The class meets every Thursday this month and I Cant wait to see what activities we are doing next week.
